Den flamske organisation for vokalmusik AGEC indkalder værker til komponistkonkurrence i forbindelse med festivalen "It's oh so choir", som foregår 30.-31. oktober. Deadline for bidrag er 1. juni.

On 30 and 31 October 2010, Koor&Stem, the Flemish organisation for vocal music, and AGEC, the Union of European Choral Associations, will organise an international choir festival for choir singers, conductors and anyone interested in vocal music: “It’s oh so choir”. The festival also hosts a composition competition and calls for scores latest on June 1, 2010.

The festival will take place in the famous Flagey concert building in Brussels, and will be a great opportunity to meet other music lovers, to participate in a wide choice of music workshops and open rehearsals, to discover new international repertoire or simply to enjoy beautiful choral concerts.

Call for scores

The Young Composers workshop is an important part of this event. It aims to promote contemporary European composers. The workshop gives them the chance to get their work performed in ideal circumstances by top amateur choirs and to get feedback from the choirs, their conductors and widely renowned European composers.

Koor&Stem and AGEC would like to invite all talented young people with little experience in the field of choral composing to participate in this important choral event in 2010.
